i was still quite new when these happened, but had been around for a while if that makes sense... ah well

when the haunted scratchcards first came out I got the one that could give you the jackpot, which was worth a fair bit on the shop wiz, and i weighed up my options and scratched the card, and got nothing... I was laughed at by my friends that day, I'll tell you...

I also got a discovery of fire stamp from the stamp givaway that was going on back then, and didn't realise how much it was worth, so i put it in my stamp album thinking that it was just a nice, pretty rare stamp... ggrrrr...

Well, I found a plushie Bruce morphing potion for 14k and sold it for 60, not realizing that virtually all morphing potions (especially good colors) will skyrocket...

*sigh* at least I didn't loose money...

Once I tried to fight with the Tiki guy in the Battledome. It was my first fight. I thought I would beat him so easy. I lost in the first shot.

And when me and my old best friend went to the Advent Calendar..we were both like,"OH MY GOSH OH MY GOSH OH MY GOSH!" when we both got Snowbunnies..I dont think I realised everyone probably got the same stuff untill about 12 seconds later..it took me a few seconds for it to sink in.

i never did anything stupid i always checked what stuff was worth as soon as i got my extravaganza sc i sold it and bought my lab map wait now that i think about it i used to only train levl thinking the rest didnt matter so i ended up losing to chia clown 30 or so times

I was chatting on the boards (back when they weren't such a disaster) and someone posted a thread that said "Whoever buys the most from my shop gets a rod of supernova!". I visited their shop and saw they had a bunch of junk items priced at 1000 np each, so I bought like, 20. Then I asked for my rod of supernova. Needless to say, I never got a reply. XD;

When I was new on Neopets, around two years ago, I sold codestones for 900 NP each

I used to think that it was possible for Neopets to die, so, one time, I hadn't been on for a few days, and suddenly I remembered I needed to feed them and was horrified to find them 'dying'. Later I learned that Neopets would never die

Back in the ol' day (just about four years ago), when I was a new Neopian...

+I used an auto-refresher (don't hurt me, please!). A few weeks afterwards, they were banned.
+Well, basically anything I did outside of Neopets to promote it. I was in 6th grade at the time, and eventually held a monarchy over the class computers: I had singlehandedly made the only game site available to play on them Neopets.

There was probably other stuff too, but I can't remember.

No, really, um, I probably should've kept my old items, because the value has skyrocketed since I first started (3 years ago)..

On my very first account, I found a faerie paint brush lying on the ground... and I painted my grundo with it...

I found a rainbow cybunny plushie, and gave it to the Money Tree.

Omg, I was such a New Member. On my first account, I fell for one of those "Gimme your password and we'll give you 10000000000000 neopoints" scams. I got my first few accounts frozen. Also, once I won a shadow pb from my guild. It was around Feb-March 2002 and pbs were way cheaper back then. I meant to sell it for 27k, which was how much it was worth. I forgot a few zeros though and accidentally sold it for 27 nps! I'm still angry about that to this day.

Well, 27000NP is not much... not as much as missing out on a potential 18million

I had my beautiful eyrie play with a magical blue meerca plushie just to see what would happen.

I found a faerie pb on the wiz for 1,500 np and painted my pet...not realising it would disappear. (Paint brushes are durable in life after all.) But I still have the pet and love the look, so I guess it wasn't so bad.

on my first few days i got a water faerie quest. she asked for a mote (forgot which one) and looked around http://neopets.com/market_map.phtml and in people's shops. i saw a mote for 22k and saved up for a month or more. i couldn't use the shop wiz so i wouldnt know how much it cost. after saving up i went back, and was so happy no one had bought it. after i bought it, i went to the water faerie and gave her mote. in return, i got a pet stat increased. i was like "whhaaatt?? THATS IT??" lol... then after i went to the shop wiz and they were so freakin cheap T_T i never did a quest since. well, now i do if it's cheap.
