Here's your chance to win access to the secret lab!

The mad scientist that runs the Secret Lab Ray seems quite pleased with his fancy, updated map. In fact, he's so happy that he's agreed to tell 100 lucky Neopians how to reach his secret laboratory! We had to impose a few rules, but he's agreed to them, and is looking forward to greeting the winners with a good ZAAAAAAP and permanent access to his lab ray.
To be eligible, an account:

* Must not already have access to the lab ray (durp!)
* Must be more than a month old
* May only enter with one account (but it can be a side account)

I'm not particularly thrilled about this. I had to save up to get my lab ray, and I'm nearly done collecting a complete set to sell. Giving away 100 free permanent lab rays is a lot all at once; prices will go down for a while, I suspect. And only one month old? Though that does keep me from creating a side account and entering the draw...

(Oh, and it's funny that only half the pieces in my gallery updated their looks.)

Still, it's only 100 maps. Out of millions of accounts, its a very very small percentage that will be given out.

Per the Total Owners: 184,946,629. Assuming All owners have an average of 2 side accounts, that's still over 61 million users. That makes your odds of winning roughly 1 in 610,000 of winning a map. I doubt that those odds will affect the prices of the pieces much.

Right, but of those total numbers of owners, how many are active? How many actually actively want the Secret Lab -- and don't already have it? I would guess that number is only in the thousands. I've seen a drop in item prices when only 250 are given away in a Lenny Conundrum -- even codestones and neggs, which I would posit are desired by many more people at any given time than the Secret Lab is.

Apparently, you only need to enter once. I tried to enter today, but they told me that I already entered. I always wanted a Alien Aisha, so I'm really hoping to win. Now that I see the odds, I don't feel as positive anymore... Still not ideal odds, but I'll hope for it.
