Winter Starlight Celebration

Welcome to the Winter Starlight Celebration, a monthlong salute to all things seasonal! While the night air might be chilly, the comforting sounds of nearby carollers and warm sentiments of those gathered at this holiday jubilee more than make up for the frigid climate. During your visit, you'll find that there's plenty of winter-themed things to see and do. Keep in mind, however, that this celebration happens just once a year, so make the most of it while you can.

I got a Dung Snowflake from the nova today. I remember someone on the Neoboards saying yesterday that they got one, and it was worth 55k; the Jellyneo items database records it being worth 24k yesterday, and now it's about 9k, so presumably a lot of them have been given out, although there do not appear to be that many on the shop wizard.

Hmm, I wonder if today's video was a hint that TNT plans to re-elevate Faerieland some day. I would think they'd wait until they finished redesigning all the other parts of the site, but who knows. It could be a fun mini-event.

The return of Maraqua was foreshadowed by an Advent Calendar clip in 2004, so I would not be surprised.

Also, look at how bad the animation used to be, goodness.

Edit: But don't just take my word for it, using the power of being the oldest Neopets fansite still in existence, we can actually travel back in time nine years and see people's reactions to it first hand.

"Good animation, all the bands together." - perhaps our standards were just poorer back then, or maybe we're too spoilt now.

It is exciting to think TNT have planned an update to Faerieland. The animation suggests it will be re-launched into orbit.

The prizes themselves say "Get Well Soon Faerieland".... a very weird thing to say! Definitely a clue!! LOL.
