Today's animation was my friend's four-year-old yesterday. It was the first time he really understood that "Christmas" = presents (and his birthday being only four days before didn't help). He didn't want to stop playing with the new toys for a nap, nor for bedtime the night before, nor for dinner... Nor for bedtime Christmas night even though he was clearly exhausted!

My ninja gym's minimum age is 4, so I'll be taking him there for his fourth birthday (in January, when they start their Saturday mini-ninja classes). I told him yesterday, and he was like, "Can we go today?! Right now?! Tomorrow?! When?! When's January?!" I'm glad I'm giving him an experience instead of "more stuff." (He loves to watch American Ninja Warrior with me and is going to be a ninja when he grows up like "Miss Siniri." The kid can already knock out three pull-ups, so he's ready!)

The parents do a really good job of rotating the toys so he only has a certain number available at a time, and getting rid of stuff he no longer plays with (though now that he has a younger sister, that will be a little harder).

Why are the frogarotts wearing clothes if they're sitting on a log in the middle of a pond? Those clothes are not conducive to getting wet... Regardless of the bubble, they were going to get wet and miserable.

Good question, Siniri. Even if the sweaters are 100% wool, which is "decent" when wet, the pants look like sweatpants. Not so good when wet. Clearly frogarotts are not cold weather creatures.
