These are not "festive comics" anymore, for sure. Although a couple people have posted having gotten a Laughing Potion from Reina today, over top of that comic...

On another note, if you look at the last comic from Faerie Festival and compare the paint-brush-like-item to the paint-brush-like-item in today's comic...their outlines are the same. Something to think about...

I don't really get it, but Neopets comics have never made a ton of sense. Like, I thought she used her strength to heal the faellie, and then when the faellie woke up first (somewhat restored), it fixed that thing and fell asleep... But apparently it used its own magic to... Create a portal, I guess? And drained its life force? The magical rules aren't super well established, so we're just left guessing and assuming.

I don't see a paintbrush like thing in today's comic. Which panel?

Reina: We need to do something! We need to tell someone!
Fyora: That someone is already here.
Orion: Queen Fyora! But how did you...
Fyora: That instrument you found has been emitting an incredible amount of unknown magic. I've been investigating it for weeks and your prolonged playing led me right to its source.
Orion: Unknown magic?
Fyora: Yes, you seem to have stumbled upon a powerful artefact imbued with magic even I am unfamiliar with. Yet another troubling development...
Reina: Does that mean the Lyre is dangerous? Should we have even played it?! What if-
Fyora: Easy Reina. You were right to let Orion share his visions. It's too soon to tell what exactly this artefact is capable of, but playing it only seemed to clarify and project the visions Orion has been experiencing.
Reina: Phew! What a relief... and here I was worried I brought doom to Neopia after just my third time organising the Advent Calendar!
Fyora: Nonsense! You handled the situation quite well. I have no doubt your grandmother will be proud to hear of the compassionate Aisha you've become.
Reina: Oh! I- um- well thank you Queen Fyora... That's too kind.
Fyora: I owe you both an apology as well. I'm sorry it took me so long to find the source of this strange magic. It seems to have taken quite the toll on you already Orion.

Regarding the comics, I read it as more that the Aisha saved the Faellie in all that mess and was injured as well, then the Faellie fixed whatever thing it was with her last strength to create a portal back home or at least show what was going on back home. It also looks like whatever attacked them left behind a visible color change (the Aisha's hand/arm and the whole of the Faellie turned....void). But yes, it's definitely not clearly defined.
The paint brush thing is in the section where Brightvale is shown, on the left, being held by whatever mysterious person it is. A few people on reddit and/or discord (and probably elsewhere) have made a side-by-side image. Here's One

Sad that tomorrow is the last day of Advent Calendar. Guess none of my family/friends will end up with a SAP at this rate. Ah, well. The odds were stupidly small anyways.

Don't forget that Snowie tends to hibernate a few days after the start of the new year!

Heh. It's almost like TNT heard me complaining about not understanding how magic works (I know they drew this comic way before I posted, of course).

I thought at first the Aisha saved the Faellie, but looking at that first panel in the cave, it seemed like she was transferring energy to it, which it took to be healing. Guess not.

Heh, I didn't even notice that figure in the corner. This is why I have to go back and study each panel. It would help to read them on my computer, but it's so much easier to just run through stuff on my phone.

Sigh. I always hate the end of AC. At least tomorrow there's still one last Stocking Stufftacular item, and then possibly Snowie still hibernating, too. But...no SAP here, all around.

Also, I already had the Happy New Year theme. Wonder why I got the text again? Weird...

There are TONS of plot speculation and theories running around. One that I've seen suggests that

the Aisha in the comics is Reina's mother, since her mother is not around and was out "spreading her wings." The booktastic book we got yesterday talked about being away from your family for long periods of time. Some went so far as to say that her grandmother didn't show herself for previous AC bonus prizes because she looks too much like her mom and something about not wanting to become a target or something? That part seems a little far-fetched and paranoid, but who knows?

At any rate, I'm enjoying reading all the speculation. Some are suggesting that we'll see more tidbits during the Neopies and possibly Festival of Neggs if it happens early enough (hopefully it isn't canceled!!). There's also a debate as to whether or not the Altador Cup will happen this year if the plot is still going on.

Aaaaand while my kids got ALL of those prizes, despite having done the same thing as them and hung a 25-day pack before the event started and collecting every day on the day (which at least one of them didn't collect on the day)....I got the glitch that seems to be randomly affecting people and didn't get ANY of the 25-day-streak prizes. Talk about a bummer getting 2 items when everyone else gets 10. I've already put in a ticket, but I'll have to watch for highway to help to post it because it poofed thanks to the lab ray going missing. Sigh. Not exactly a great start to the new year.
