I had fun solving the maze and word search today -- I haven't done either in a long time.

I didn't notice before that the library faerie is in a wheelchair. Representation is so important -- especially when it's done well, by not making that the only characteristic you notice.

And I love the fact that they chose a faerie with wings to depict a wheelchair user, because that can open up conversations about the wide array of types of disabilities and different mobility aids. The vast majority of wheelchair users have some use of their legs, and many can stand or even walk for short distances. That doesn't negate their need for that aid.

On my screen, the rod of supernova was at the bottom and I had to scroll to see the "joke". Sort of made it a lot more fun.

The Rod of Supernova only shows up on the first time you look at the prizes. It is not there if you go back to look again.

Well, I might have double clicked to collect the prizes yesterday, so that could be why I didn't see it. Neopets was lagging, so I clicked to load it again. Oh, well. It's nice they made the joke again.

The 8-bit images are always nostalgic. I never cared that my Atari's graphics were primitive. If the game design is good, the graphics don't matter much (I mean, they can enhance the experience, obviously, but simple effective graphics work, too).
