Based on the FAQ, I don't believe this "mini-event" will actually involve playing any of the games. It looks like it's just reading blurbs and collecting prizes.

How do I participate in the Altador Cup: The Grey Year event?
You can participate in the Altador Cup: The Grey Year event by claiming daily prizes and reading optional lore drops about each of the 19 different teams! There will be an avatar for all and a trophy to showcase that you were around for the Altador Cup that never was. (Just be sure to claim all of your prizes before June 30th!)

Oh, I knew! That's why I set the alarms. Man, that staff tourney shop was awful. Awful prizes and awful interface. I seriously considered leaving and not even bothering to spend all my points -- when I still had like 19k left! (I did spend them, of course...)

Let me know if you need any of the books, stamps, wearables, etc. from either shop. I got plenty of duplicates from both (and had some from when the prizes were previously released). I'm up to 5.3k unique items and 37.6k+ total items in my SDB.

Yeah, the staff tournament page has been bad for years and they've left it that way. I HATE scrolling down so far. Go figure - it's still open past yesterday, but the main prize shop is not.

Glad you were able to get to everything!
