That boon saved me 1,195,845 NP in training costs! (7 trainings of level and HP at 5 red codestones each, with the average cost of red codestones at 34,167 NP.)

That makes up for all the times I got nothing from that boon.

But it's time for a new skirmish. Thieves, Awakened, Brutes. Hmm. No good guaranteed boons. Unless TNT surprises us with making scratchcard levels go to our active pets for their birthday... Probably wishful thinking... But the Thieves also have the guaranteed ~35k savings of the stock boon. Brutes also has the scratchcard boon, but the wheel boon instead of the stock market boon. I think I'd prefer the easy guaranteed boon over feeling like I need to spin a ton to get more... So I'm leaning Thieves, but happy to join the bandwagon.

Big guild went Thieves.

I went Brutes. Hoping that the wheel spin boon MIGHT give extra spins on the Celebration wheel, but not counting on winning, nor am I counting on that being the case.

Hmm. I already went with Thieves. Well, the best group with the worst boons.

Joined thieves. I doubt they'd put the celebration wheel on the boon. Is that definitely coming back?

I doubt it, too, but one can hope. And it's already back as of today: Celebration thread

I just double checked and don't have any battles, even though I know I battled Friday. Fixing that now.

Edit: Thieves won! I went with the stock boon. The scratchcard boon is tempting if I thought TNT would ever make the levels go to my assigned pet, but even if I managed to buy 3/day, only a handful would even have a chance of giving level, and then the chance of it giving level instead of NP is even smaller. And then it's only a single level. So only worth about 200k even at the max red training tier. (And whatever profit you make off the other cards.)

I've scratched dozens of the rarer cards and only gotten level once, so it would take multiple weeks of that boon to get that 200k (one experiment got a rate of 3%, which would take at least 10 weeks of boons considering more then half of cards are RtRs). Meanwhile, stocks boon is a guaranteed 33-35k every time, so you'd have to expect to get a level-awarding scratchcard every 6 boons (after TNT changes it, which will probably be after the plot finishes) to be worth as much. (Again excluding other winnings -- but stock investment eventually moves to the bank, while scratchcards will never faoin interest until you scratch them, which is probably years away)

There's also the daily scratching limit, and I already have a fair number saved up since TNT made the announcement they'd be changing the level awarding, and I try to buy at least one a day. I already have nearly a month and a half's worth of scratching saved up. So I'm good on scratchcards, I think.

Alas, we will never know if the Wheel boon would've given us extra spins on the Wheel of Celebration Disappointment.
Garlicy Mushrooms for me.

They did! This has been fixed!
Release Notes - October 29th
On October 29, 2025, stats granted by scratchcards will now go towards your active pet.
I have been scratching my way through my level-increasing scratchcards slowly but surely, and have gained a handful of levels for my battle pet. Since I haven't had time or energy to do Kitchen Quests, this has kept me from having to actively train level as often.

Oh, nice! I'm still going to wait until I'm at the max codestone tier, I think. Each training saved will be worth that much more. I've got a few potions to use, too (plus a bunch for Blue) -- but I'm saving those for the highest tier + double bubble boon.

I actually remembered to buy stocks at 10 today.

Excellent! I have a pretty big stockpile of scratchards. Maybe someday, I will actually scratch them.

Brutes, Order, Seekers... Hoping to find a bandwagon for a better chance at boons. Any boon is better than no boon (though obviously quest, bubble, and bank bonds are exceptionally nice).

I went with Order. Maybe I'll get a few FQFC's this weekend at half off. (I already added some into my cart.)

I'm also going with Order. I still have a few cookies.

Edit: Woohoo! Order won! I cracked open a cookie Saturday, but haven't needed the boon yet. +6 HP so far. Hopefully the boon can save me from the inevitable air faerie. The cookie has already saved me over 1M NP and 3 days of training.

Edit:
Boon savings:
2 HP = 10 reds = 341,670 NP

Worth more than twice the bank boon, which is the most lucrative guaranteed boon for me. So I guess I shouldn't complain I only got one good refresh out of the boon... Especially since that's probably in line with the probabilities. 340k is nothing to sneeze at!

Anyway, new factions! Hopefully we can get a full bandwagon this time.

New factions indeed. If all goes well, perhaps I will actually sign up this week...

Brute Squad
Thieves Guild
Seekers

ETA:
I could use an easy boon this week (i.e. Bank Boon). Anyone up for Seekers?

I'm game for Seekers! I opened a cookie, but they're lucrative even without the boon. So much cheaper than trying to train twice a day. I need a good stock sale to stock up on reds codestones again. Or KQ. I want KQ back...
