Whew. Glad to see PPT is up and running again, and Blue, you made it fantastically close to the way it used to look despite the upgrade!
Thanks! Since you posted that, the forum is now even closer to the original
Someone else did a ton of work to get the old theme to work on their site, so theirs would be "as was". Theirs was close to what we had, but not close enough for me

Today, I did a bunch of tweaking of the template and css files and we are
almost there. Still have some work to do, but boy is it close. I did leave the "online" status, but moved it down under the avatar and left justified the user info box, plus put almost everything back where it was in the user info box, too.
Subtle things like having our username next to logout, and "View unread topics" instead of just "Unread Posts", etc. Subtle, but important. I have the old forum alive "somewhere" and have been flipping back and forth to get the new forum look and feel to be as "exactly the same" as possible to the old Forum. I am
very pleased with the progress so far.
But, some of the behind-the-scenes stuff is still missing, such as forcing a newly registered user's posts be approved by an Administrator before it can be seen by anyone else. That was really helping keep spam off of the forums. The hoops to help prevent bot sign-ups seem to be weaker. Also the "bump an edited last post to be unread" mod is gone, too. Sadly, several of the awesome mods do not work on the latest forum software.
There are also a few weird glitches, too. Table headers seem to be borked now. This too, will get fixed
There are a few nice new things that you will discover as we go, but having a faster and more secure php version running behind the scenes has really helped the server load and uptime!
Looks like I need to also clean up the buttons above the post text box... the dice mod died a long time ago. Ditto for Flash.
One cool new thing is.. .we can now post emojis and Wordle scores
ETA: Just fixed the location of the buttons under each post.
