EDIT Never mind, neoitems.net's pricing thing was way off. The neopet-eating carp is only 5k, not 99k. So I bought one. It's only an object, cannot be eaten or attached. ):

Neoitems.net lists it as "special," which is somewhat promising, but I am really curious whether it is food or a petpet. (You have no idea how much I want this thing to be a petpet. PleasepleasepleaseTNT...!)

Anyway, I suppose I could buy one myself and see, but as they are rather expensive I'd prefer not to go to the trouble and instead I've come here to ask my fellow Neopians if they know the answer. ^^
