question about Haunted Woods prizes

#1 Post by Casi »

I just realized I never collected my prizes from the haunted woods plot. Now that time has passed, what do you suggest I buy? I have 28,565 points to spend. Thanks in advance.

Well, from what I've seen, the weapons aren't very good, so unless you want to collect them, don't get the weapons.

If you want to get the items with the most resale value, I'd suggest you get the books since they are a one-use item and will only increase in value over time. You can also lookup the prices of the other prizes on the shop wiz to see what is most profitable.

Otherwise, have fun and get whatever appeals to you the most :)

Heh, I was wondering the same thing yesterday! I trawled through a few old topics here to find this petpage, which shows the relative values of the various prizes: http://www.neopets.com/~Rukired485

It's a bit out of date now, but it still helps a bit.

It seems that the ghost paint brush is the best item, in terms of the points-to-neopoints ratio.

Assuming you aren't going to invest in the long-run, the Ghost Paintbrush is probably ideal. However, as said above, the books will wind up being the best investment; they're unique to the plot, one-use items, and people going for the Book Club award are gonna need as many individual books as they can get, and these will be on the list.

I actually failed to get my Altador Cup prizes until just recently (I stopped playing for a little while right after the Cup and missed the post concerning where the prizes were, then chronically forgot to pick them up) and got the Darigan team book for my troubles; a year since its release (less, actually) the price of the book is well above 100k and can only go up as more of them are consumed. Mine's locked safely in my SDB now. ^_^
